Overview

Dow Corning® ES-5226 DM Formulation Aid is an ethoxylated and propoxylated silicone surfactant. Its primary function is to produce water-in-silicone emulsions with textures ranging from lotion to cream. Dow Corning ES-5226 DM Formulation Aid is a 37.5% dispersion of silicone polyether in a low viscosity, volatile dimethicone fluid. Low toxicity if swallowed. Small amounts swallowed incidentally as a result of normal handling operations are not likely to cause injury; however, swallowing larger amounts may cause injury. Prolonged skin contact is unlikely to result in absorption of harmful amounts. Brief exposure (minutes) is not likely to cause adverse effects. Brief contact is essentially nonirritating to skin. May cause slight temporary eye irritation. Corneal injury is unlikely. May cause mild eye discomfort.
